Thursdays 5:00-7:00pm “Afro-Cuban Dance” – Beginning level with Master Artist Juan Carlos Blanco of Havana, Cuba
Afro-Cuban Dance comprises the rich folkloric dances that have been preserved actively in Cuba for over 500 years as part of Cuba’s African cultural heritage. Learn the essentials of these dances as you explore movement and technique made fun and simple for Yoruba, Congo, Franco-Haitian & Arara traditions. This class is designed for newcomers to Afro-Cuban dance as well as for the intermediate or advanced students who wish to improve their form. All abilities and levels are welcome! $10.00.

In this class we will explore the elements needed to dance Argentine Tango in a social setting. With an emphasis in technique, elegance and the history of the dance, we will focus in the embrace and the walk through exercises in the connection, musicality and navigation on the floor.
